General Terms and Conditions of Use of the Website of the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Economics

General provisions

You are on the website owned by the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Economics (hereinafter: the FELU) and which includes all web pages and subpages of the FELU (http://www.ef.uni-lj.si/en), the EF.NET news portal (http://efnet.si/en/) and all pertaining services (hereinafter: the FELU Website).

The General Terms and Conditions of Use of the Website of the FELU (hereinafter: General Terms and Conditions) stipulate the terms, restrictions and method of use of the FELU Website. By visiting the FELU Website you confirm that you fully acknowledge these General Terms and Conditions, agree with them and accept all of the provisions hereof. If you do not agree with the General Terms and Conditions, please leave the FELU Website immediately.

As the administrator of the FELU Website, the FELU reserves the right to periodically complement and update the General Terms and Conditions in accordance with technical novelties and the legislation and without announcing it or notifying the users about it. Before using the FELU Website, please check the date of the last change to the General Terms and Conditions.

Editorial policy of the FELU Website

The FELU shall constantly update the FELU Website so as to provide up-to-date information to the users. The FELU reserves the right to change or delete any part and/or content of the FELU Website without prior notification.

Copyright, brands and other intellectual property rights

The entire contents of the FELU Website (all information, material and other contents in any form that are published on the FELU Website) shall be considered author’s work and be protected by copyright and/or the FELU is the holder of the rights to their use, except where stipulated otherwise. All rights are reserved. The entire contents of the FELU Website shall be protected by copyright and users can use them solely for private and non-commercial purposes and in no case for public or commercial purposes. Changing, copying, multiplying and distributing, republishing, translating, disseminating, spreading or any other processing of the contents of the FELU Website in any other way shall be prohibited.

The trademarks and service brands published on the FELU Website shall be owned by the FELU and/or the FELU is the holder of the rights for their use and disposal. The use of these trademarks and service brands shall be prohibited. The signs that are not registered as trademarks shall be protected in compliance with copyright law.

As a user, as part of the authorised use of the FELU Website’s contents you shall be obliged to preserve all designations of copyright and other intellectual property rights as well as any other notifications and warnings. Unauthorised use or abuse of any of the registered trademarks or the logo of the FELU shall be prohibited. As a user, you are informed that in the case of the violation of copyright or other intellectual property rights the FELU can initiate civil and/or criminal proceedings against the violator.

Privacy and personal data protection

The FELU is aware that the protection of personal data is very important for users and so it undertakes to carefully store user data and use it exclusively for the purposes for which a user of the FELU Website submits it. The FELU shall process and protect users’ personal data collected via the FELU Website in compliance with the applicable regulations on personal data protection (Personal Data Protection Act, ZVOP-1, Official Gazette of the RS, no. 86/2004 and the later amendments) and the Statement on Personal Data Protection.

The FELU respects your privacy and undertakes to protect user data in compliance with the Electronic Communications Act (ZEKom-1, Official Gazette of the RS, no. 109/2012 and the later amendments). Like most other websites, the FELU Website uses cookies that facilitate the functioning of certain services and enhance user experience. As a user of the FELU Website you may accept or reject cookies at any time. The FELU shall do its best to provide up-to-date, accurate and reliable information on the FELU Website, yet it would like to warn users that all contents are of an informative nature which is why the FELU shall not assume any responsibility for their validity, accuracy, completeness and/or integrity.

The FELU shall not assume responsibility for any acts performed on the basis of the contents of the FELU Website.

The FELU Website includes links to the websites of other administrators that are beyond the FELU’s control and, as a result, the FELU cannot guarantee and shall not assume any responsibility for any illegal contents, liability for data protection or other legal violations on those web pages. Should it establish any violation of the applicable legislation, the FELU shall immediately remove the relevant link or contents from the FELU Website.

The FELU shall not accept responsibility for the temporary non-functioning of the FELU Website and hence shall not be responsible for any damage or inconvenience that would arise from the existence of the FELU Website, from access to and/or use of and/or inability to use information and/or any errors or deficiencies in the contents, irrespective of whether the FELU was informed of the possibility of such damage.

As a user you shall use the FELU Website at your own responsibility. The FELU shall not accept responsibility for any damage incurred due to use of the FELU Website.

User responsibility

Use of the FELU Website and/or services in any way that could damage, disable, overburden or harm the FELU Website shall not be permitted. Likewise, it shall not be permitted to prevent or hinder the use of other users and/or the administrator. It shall not be permitted to acquire any material or information from the FELU Website using means not available for this purpose on the website. It shall be prohibited to use the FELU Website and services for the purpose of transmitting harmful or malicious software as well as to abuse the FELU Website and its services in any other way.

As a user of the FELU Website, during the use of the FELU Website you undertake not to violate any applicable legislation, these General Terms and Conditions, the moral and ethical principles and any third-party rights (industrial property rights, copyright and related third-party rights) and not to use the FELU Website for unlawful purposes.

As a user of the FELU Website, you shall be fully morally, materially and criminally liable for any damage arising from your use of the FELU Website and/or its services for commercial purposes or your use of the FELU Website and/or its services for the purpose of transmitting harmful or malicious software as well as for your abuse of the FELU Website and/or its services in any other way or for any unlawful use.

Final provisions

Should any provision of these General Terms and Conditions be or become unlawful, invalid or non-enforceable, this shall not affect the other provisions hereof. As a user of the FELU Website you are asked to inform us promptly of any irregularities and/or violations of these General Terms and Conditions and/or applicable legislation on the FELU Website at the following address:
