Free workshops for children

During the winter vacations, between February 21 and February 25, 2022, we will organize free workshops Year of the Tiger for children from 1st to 4th grade who would like to learn about other cultures and are interested in arts and crafts. We will take inspiration from Chinese tradition and the Lunar New Year celebrated in China on February 1, 2022.

The activities will take place from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 12:00 in the Oton Župančič Library.

Together with Chinese teachers from the Confucius Institute in Ljubljana we will:
- Get to know the animals of the Chinese zodiac,
- make tiger masks
- try out Chinese calligraphy,
- make paper lanterns,
- try out the technique of paper cutting.
