On the day of the event, the Chinese and foreign directors of the Confucius Institute at the University of Slovenia and the person in charge of the Slovenian Folklore Museum delivered speeches, kicking off the celebration. The cheongsam dancers from the International Women's Club of Slovenia and the China Women's Association came on stage first. Their graceful dance and graceful movements fully demonstrated the elegance and grace of contemporary Chinese women, winning applause and cheers from the audience.

Children from China now are living in Slovenia also showed off traditional Chinese costumes. The gorgeous clothes, classical charm, and lively and lovely movements make the audience feel like they are enjoying the joy of outing and enjoying the spring. Finally, kung fu teacher Zhou Jingjie gave a Tai Chi demonstration. His open and close steps, both hard and soft fists, and his power and beauty made the audience feel the unique charm of Tai Chi.

After admiring the agile dance movements and the combination of strength and softness in martial arts, the teachers of the Confucius Institute  invited the audience to experience the charm of Chinese calligraphy. The teachers told them the stories behind the batches of Chinese characters. The participants were amazed and expressed satisfaction with their works. A wealth of Chinese refreshments were also provided at the event, making the entire celebration full of rich Chinese cultural atmosphere.

Celebrating Chinese  Day, enjoying spring outings, dancing and drinking tea, not only enriched the cultural life of local people, but also enhanced the friendship and exchanges between the people of China and Slovenian. By organizing Chinese Day , the Confucius Institute at the University of Slovenia will make more people have a strong interest in Chinese and Chinese culture, and encourage them to participate in people-to-people exchange activities between China and Slovenia.
