May 18 is important for two reasons: the 18th is a lucky number in China. The number 18 (shíbā) is pronounced similarly to 实 发 (shì fā), which means "definitely get rich". So the (financial) prosperity is certain, it will come.

May is the month of Chinese culture and the anniversary of Confucius Institute (in 2022 we will celebrate the 13th anniversary of its founding).
